Hi Denise,
I'm from Southern NJ and came across your site while researching for an item I found on our property. I believe it's a brass signplate. It says W.F. Dougherty & Sons, 1000 Arch St, Phila.
Is it something you would like? I can send you a picture.

Are you related to someone in the W.F Dougherty & Sons family? My name is Nancy Dougherty Wyatt, daughter to Edward Bernard Dougherty Jr. My grandfather was Edward Bernard Dougherty Sr. one of the "sons" of W.F. Dougherty.
Nancy: Nice to hear from you. Here is my line from WF Dougherty. Denise, daughter of Rosemary Gallen, daughter of Mary Ann Dougherty, daughter of Charles J. Dougherty, son of William F. Dougherty I believe I met your dad and grandfather at a reunion that was held at the home of Patricia Dougherty Cottone in the late 1990s in Philadelphia. The advent of the Ancestry craze has allowed several descendants of WF, as far west as Chicago, to enchange info and pictures. Have you any pictures of the family? I have a quantity of genealogical information on the family if you have any questions and if you go through the blog you will see that I have several pictures and narratives posted.
